Using technology to improve health and care outcomes
Technology has become vitally important to today’s health and care sector. It’s not exaggerating to say that the sector couldn’t function without it.
From medical professionals needing access to patient data and operational workers looking to share and collaborate on the next big project through to patients and their families wanting to stay in touch during critical, emotional times, technology has a crucial role in enabling all these connections to happen.
And as technology develops further, its role in supporting positive outcomes and experiences continues to evolve.
We work with NHS Trusts, private social care providers and health industry suppliers, helping them make those vital connections, using technology such as secure networks, flexible hosting and always on collaboration tools.
Access medical records in an instant
Whether at your main site, a satellite office or on the road, if your medical colleagues need access to patient records, they should have it – instantly and securely. Connectivity services like resilient Leased Lines that keep data moving 24/7 to bespoke Managed WANs that help you manage traffic across all your sites can provide the means to access that critical data.
As one of only a few suppliers accredited by NHS Digital, we can also help guide you through the process of connecting to HSCN (the Health and Social Care Network), so you can share knowledge and collaborate with other health organisations across the country.
Protect your data
When it comes to storing medical data, there’s no room for error. Security, monitoring and disaster recovery must be enterprise-grade, but data must be easily and instantly accessible to those who need it. Our hybrid hosting solutions combine private storage with the best features of public cloud services including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services to give you peace of mind that your data is always safe; while our dedicated cloud connections make sure that data traffic always gets through, whatever pressures your core network is facing.
Help patients and employees stay in touch when it matters most
At a time when people really need to stay in touch with those that matter most, providing a public wireless network to patients and their visitors gives enormous comfort and helps to improve outcomes. On the other hand, private WiFi opens up your network into hard to reach parts of your organisation, improving productivity and making more efficient use of your space. Hosted voice also makes sure key people are always within reach for that quick decision or important piece of information.
Public sector procurement frameworks
If your organisation is publicly funded, you can procure HSCN services via the RM3825 HSCN procurement framework (the RM1045 framework for network services closed in July 2019 and is being replaced by RM3808 or Network Services 2, which is due to be launched in August 2019.) If you're a private sector organisation, you can choose whether to run a competitive tender for your HSCN services or award directly with your preferred supplier. Please get in touch if you have any queries around procurement for HSCN-related services.
