Eclipse Achieves Gold in the Microsoft Partner Network
Eclipse, the leading managed IT services provider, today announced that it has been awarded Microsoft Gold Competency for its “best-in-class” hosting services. This status underlines Eclipse’s skills and knowledge to deliver the highest levels of service quality, expertise and customer satisfaction.
Microsoft’s Gold standard signifies to the market that Eclipse has demonstrated the highest level of skill and achievement within a given technology specialisation. All Microsoft competencies are designed to help differentiate a partner’s specific technology capabilities, helping customers find solution providers quickly and easily. Each competency has a unique set of requirements and benefits, formulated to accurately represent the specific skills and services that partners bring to the industry.
"Out of 24,000 Microsoft Partners in the UK, Eclipse is one of just 721 who have achieved the Gold Partner status. That puts us in the top 1 percent," said Pete Tomlinson, director of product, marketing & sales at Eclipse. "We were one of the first organisations to secure official CSP (Cloud Solutions Provider) status in the UK so it’s great to solidify that relationship and offer our customers further confidence in our expertise."
“By achieving a gold competency, Eclipse has demonstrated the highest, most consistent capability and commitment to the latest Microsoft technology,” said Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp. “Eclipse has deep expertise that puts them in the top 1 percent of our partner ecosystem, and their proficiency will help customers drive innovative solutions on the latest Microsoft technology.”
To earn a Microsoft Gold Competency, partners must successfully complete exams (resulting in Microsoft Certified Professionals) to prove their level of technology expertise, and then designate these certified professionals uniquely to one Microsoft competency, ensuring a certain level of staffing capacity. They also must submit customer references that demonstrate successful projects (along with implementing a yearly customer satisfaction studies), meet a revenue commitment (for most gold competencies), and pass technology and/or sales assessments.
Eclipse provides technology services through its Connect, Cloud and Communicate portfolios. Microsoft Gold Partner status provides peace of mind confidence for customers in the mid-market space looking to take advantage of the productivity and efficiency benefits of new products including OneNote and Skype for Business.
Attaining the Hosting competency is exclusively for partners that specialise in hosting solutions and maintain their own datacentres or act as a reseller or agency of services hosted by Microsoft, providing agreed-upon service levels and customised hosted offerings and consulting for common customer scenarios. Equipped with exclusive training, the latest software and support, partners help customers offset the cost of maintaining critical business applications with scalable hosting solutions.
The Microsoft Partner Network is designed to equip organizations that deliver products and services based on the Microsoft platform with the training, resources and support they need to provide their customers a superior experience and outcomes.
