Clodagh Murphy shortlisted as Woman of the Year

We’re delighted to announce that our MD, Clodagh Murphy has been shortlisted as ‘Woman of the Year’ in the Women in IT Awards, launched this year by Information Age.   The awards celebrate the achievements of women in science and technology careers, and the work they do to encourage other women to progress and develop in these environments.

Clodagh is thrilled to be shortlisted, “When I look around me I see people that shine in all sorts of ways – both men and women; people that I can learn from and aspire to emulate. Being shortlisted for this award is both an honour and a surprise. I love what I do and leading a team to success has to be one of the greatest feelings ever. Anyone who knows me knows that I can be a bit of a pain at times – always striving for perfection and pushing people to their limits – but I believe we’re all capable of more than we think and it’s just about finding and unlocking that potential.”

The Women in IT Awards is the most prominent women-in-technology initiative supported by the UK’s biggest professional bodies for the IT industry including BCS - The Chartered Institute for IT and trade association techUK.

The Secretary of State for Education and Minister for Women and Equalities, Nicky Morgan, lent her congratulations to the finalists:  “Well done to all of the women who have been nominated for the Women in IT Awards,” she said. “You are all fantastic role models and ambassadors for young people.  I am sure you will inspire other women to follow in your foot steps and pursue a career in technology.
